Swing batta!

Lastings Milledge makes Juan Samuel seem disciplined at the plate. How in the world does anyone throw a pitch near the strike zone to that guy? I'm thinking high heat and breaking balls away and Milledge could strike out 3 times a game. Stanley, if he was a manager, I'm sure would fine any pitcher throwing a ball in the strike zone to Milledge.

He somehow drew 32 walks in just 182 at bats in AAA this year, which was vastly better than he'd ever done in the lower levels. I'm hoping some of that was actual improvement and not just luck and that he'll remember how he did it once he gets comfortable in the majors. If Jose Reyes can learn to walk, there's hope for just about anyone.
